Free MyCiti bus rides for unemployed Capetonians

Mayor Patricia de Lille on Tuesday announced R6.6 million has also been allocated to subsidise the free bus rides.

CAPE TOWN – Unemployed Capetonians can now catch free MyCiti bus trips to look for work.

Mayor Patricia de Lille on Tuesday announced R6.6 million has also been allocated to subsidise the free bus rides.

De Lille made the announcement at the official launch in Mitchell’s Plain.

“We’re going to pay for those bus rides with the R6.6 million. We’ll be able to issue 100,000 of these cards to unemployed people in the City of Cape Town.”
